Do my PDFs upload to Reckap?

No. Split runs in your browser with pdf-lib and pdf.js. Reckap does not receive the file for this tool.

Can I export pages as images?

Yes. Set Output type to Image files. Each selected page becomes one image. Choose JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, or AVIF when this browser supports encode. Multiple pages download as a ZIP.

Can I split password-protected PDFs?

Not here. Remove the password with a desktop PDF app first. Encrypted files are refused instead of guessing passwords.

What does every N pages do?

For PDF output, it walks the document in chunks of N pages and packs each chunk as its own PDF inside a ZIP. For image output, each page in the selection still becomes its own image (grouping applies to PDF parts only).

When do I get a ZIP instead of a single file?

PDF custom-range mode with one extract downloads one PDF. Image mode with one page downloads one image. Multiple PDF parts or multiple page images download as a ZIP.

How is this different from Smallpdf or PDF24?

Many online splitters process files on a server. Reckap Split PDF keeps processing on your device. We do not offer OCR, unlock, or PDF-to-Office conversion in this tool.
